Clongen: Mycoplasma Testing

This lab is a urine sample for mycoplasma (otherwise known as walking pneumonia). For this one you will need to send it to the lab overnight. This test does not come with shipping. Shipping overnight usually costs around $50.

Dunwoody Advanced Barrier Assessment or Food Antigen

If your kit says "AIMS" it is the food allergy/sensitivity test. If it says advanced intestinal barrier, this is the leaky gut and histamine intolerance test. Both of these tests require a blood draw. We perform blood draws in office. If our office is not convenient for you, you can take this box to one of the specialty labs located at the bottom of this page. If you are out of state, we will help find a lab that can do the blood draw for you. You do not need to be fasting for this test to be complete. There is no preparation other than drink enough water so you can have a successful and easy draw.

DUTCH Adrenal and or Hormonal Testing

When you open this envelope you will see that either the dutch complete or the dutch adrenal test has been checked. If the complete is checked, we are testing for both the adrenal hormones as well as the sex hormones. In this case, for women, make sure to take the samples on day 18-22 of your menses. Day one is the first day you bleed. For menopausal or peri-menopausal women, the test can be taken at any time. For the adrenal only test, the test can be taken at any time. Please fully complete the patient information section of the lab and mail it in.

Evexia

This is a lab that we use mostly for internal mold markers. If you are getting your blood drawn in our office you simply need to show up. If you are getting your blood drawn elsewhere, you will have a form uploaded in your patient portal. You do not need to fast or prep in any way other than drinking enough water so you can have an easy draw.

Genova: SIBO

For this lab there are specific food instructions to follow in your kit. Please make sure you follow the food guide closely as this will invalidate the test if not followed.  Please watch the video at the link below to get more detailed instructions. Occasionally there may be reasons why we tell you to do something different than the video. If this occurs, please follow your clinicians instructions.

Genova: NutrEval or Organix

If your box says NutrEval and not Organix it is a combo Urine and Blood Test.  For this, you will need to fast for 12 hours before your blood draw. Also be sure to avoid fish for 24 hours before your draw. Your clinical team may have advised you to avoid certain supplements before the test as well. Please follow any unique instructions that were given to you in your patient portal. The am of the blood draw, collect your first void. If you wake in the middle of the night, collect that void. If you are coming to our office for the draw, please bring in your urine. We will freeze it for you. If you are getting a blood draw at a specialty lab, please freeze it as much as possible before your draw

If your box says Organix, it is a urine test. The hardest part of this test is that we have to slightly dehydrate ourselves the day before we collect urine.  The day before these test make sure to decrease fluids to 24 ounces of fluids or less. Make sure that after 8pm prior to the morning of collection that fluids are restricted to less than 8 ounces. You can watch the video below for more instruction. In addition, make sure to fully fill out the requisition form and ship via the shipping provided within 2 days of collecting.

GI MAP Stool PCR Test

This is a very simple one day stool collection. You will collect stool in the tray provided in the box. Inside the vial is a scoop for moving the stool from the collection tray to the vial.  Occasionally you will be told to avoid certain supplements or medications. If this is the case, it will be indicated in your patient portal. You will mail the box back to the lab using the shipping packaging inside the box.
